SABA AND MOBILE WORKER PLUS LAUNCH A NEW WAY TO PAY

With the baliza app – parking at your fingertips

Paying for parking has been made smart and simple, thanks to a new app created in partnership by Saba and Mobile Worker Plus. To support Saba’s client, Govia Thameslink Railway, (GTR) across the Southern, Thameslink and Great Northern station car parks. It is accessible at station car park locations operating with or without Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras.

The baliza app, available for both iOS and Android devices, allows hassle free payment for its users. baliza uses Bluetooth® wireless technology, allowing for parking to be booked ahead of time. The Late Pay feature allows users to pay up until the end of the day.

Designed to be easily set up, users just need to add a mobile number. They then can enjoy smart, simple parking, by enabling Bluetooth® on their mobile phones to receive notifications, and to get fast tracked to the relevant daily product – based on when they enter the car park. Unlimited numbers of vehicles can be added using the facility, and users will also be informed if a credit card is due to expire.

Mobile Worker Plus are a leading technology provider to the parking industry, and have worked with Saba to enable engagement with employees and clients. Previous products Saba and Mobile Worker Plus have worked together on, include a Lone Worker app to support Saba employees working alone in the field, and more recently a Blue Badge Portal to support disabled users parking at ANPR GTR station car parks. Blue Badge holders can register for an annual free e-parking permit, enabling them to park free of charge at GTR stations.

Alex Cleland, Regional Commercial Manager, Saba, commented: “Working with Mobile Worker Plus to deliver the new baliza app was quick and efficient. The platform was integrated into Saba’s exisiting product portfolio. Designed with our customers at the forefront, it will make payments quick and stress free.

Neville Adams, Sales Director, Mobile Worker Plus, commented: “We have been working with Saba for a number of years and have a great working partnership to deliver new solutions for their clients and keeping the customer in mind to make parking hassle free and simple. For this solution, we were delighted to be supported by our technology partner Giant Leap Technologies based in Norway.”
